This course combines aspects of the “Skills to Foster” and “Core Issues in Fostering” courses and has been designed specifically for those carers considering fostering/adoption via the Concurrent Care/Home on Time and/or dual approval routes.
The course gives carers an opportunity to explore various aspects of fostering including:
The role of the foster carerWorking in partnership with the TrustSafer CaringTransition
The course is delivered by experienced staff from the Trust’s Training, Recruitment and Placements Team with contribution from the Adoption & Permanence Team. As such, participants will have the opportunity to consider the various expectations placed on them at different stages of their own particular placement journey from the point of placement through to post adoption.
NB: This course is only open to those who have completed (or are soon to complete) the adoption assessment process.
