Could you foster Lorraine?

South Eastern Health & Social Care Trust

Hi my name is Lorraine and I am 11 years old. My social worker always tells me I am a happy and bubbly girl. I find it difficult to learn so I attend a special school which I love. I have a problem with a bone in my leg so I wear a splint but this doesn’t stop me doing things or joining in most activities. I like the adults who look after me to tell me clearly what I need to do as this helps me to get ready for everything I’m doing during the day.

I love to perform and am a bit of a drama queen. I love singing and have performed loads in the school choir. I love acting and enjoy pretending to be Belle out of Beauty and the Beast or Jasmine out of Aladdin. I love Disney Princesses. I enjoy watching DVDs or spending time on the computer, going to the cinema or swimming and going out to McDonald’s for something to eat.

I enjoy being with adults and other children and try to be kind to everyone. Sometimes I enjoy spending time playing and having fun on my own. I need a foster carer / family that can look after me until it is decided if I am going home or staying in foster care for a longer time.

The South Eastern HSC Trust provides foster carers with social work support and ongoing training.

A Regional Emergency Social Work Service is available outside office hours.

Monthly allowances will be paid to cover the costs of caring for Lorraine.

In addition foster carers for Lorraine will be paid a fee.
